Get more hookup flexibility for your digital components with this versatile, high quality Digital Optical Selector Switch. This 3-Way Digital Optical Selector Switch lets you connect up to three different optical digital components to a component with only one optical digital input. The selector allows you to switch from one component to another just by turning the selector dial no more disconnecting and connecting cables or moving equipment around. You can play any of the three components you connect and enjoy the output through your home theater system.
There are four optical digital jacks. The output jack connects to the main unit to which you would like to expand the number of optical jacks (normally a digital audio/video receiver/amplifier). The three input jacks connect to the source devices and allow you to output digital audio to your main unit. Switch easily between sources instead of disconnecting and reconnecting cables when needing to change inputs. The compact design will fit in tight areas between components.
Works with the following digital audio components: home/portable digital audio components with optical connection, MP3/CD/DVD player including Blu-ray/HD DVD, video game consoles (PS3/XBOX360), computer sound card, cable/satellite receiver to your home theater system with a digital optical input.
Operation: To hear your connected sources through your home theater system, turn on your home theater system and the audio source you want to hear. Then, press in the lock release button on the selectors dial and rotate the dial to the indicator corresponding with the source you want (1,2, or 3). A green indicator shows which of the three units is selected (only one can be selected at a time). Release the button to lock the selector in place. The sound from the selected source comes through your home entertainment systems speakers.

Ordered the SW100 to allow me to route my DVR and Blueray audio output to my older 5.1 Home Theater system. Worked like a charm, easy to hook up, very straight forward with better than expected results.
I had only one optical toslink port in my 5.1 surround reciever as well as my Tritton Ax 720 Headset the selector allowed me to easily connect my ps3 to both.
Sound quality is 100% no destortion at all. I connected it to Blueray player and TV as Inputs. I used two sided tape to fix it to table.Good LuckRakesh. It completely does what is says. I use it for my wireless headsets which have optical in. The only thing I recommend is it should have clip or something to place it stably since it is very light.
Setup: PS3, 360, PC outputs all into the switch and output to my Turtle Beach X41 Headphones.Pros:-Works as advertised-Audio does NOT downgrade (Surround dropping to Stereo etc).-PriceCons:-Larger than I had expected-Not exactly an attractive component (Subjective)Seller: No problems with ShopTronics, shipped as advertised.
It really wasn't a concern for me because I was planning on sticking it behind my tv stand anyways using double sided sticky tape. No biggie. Its the size of a small dish plate. This saved me a bundle.
Switching the dial on the Nyrius is easy and poses no problems except when I forget to switch the dial to the correct input and the movie starts while I am already situated on the couch. So I was manually having to unplug the optical cable from one system and plug it into the other in order to utilize the speakers from the HTIB system. It beats going out and buying a dedicated A/V receiver, home theater floor speakers, center channel speakers, and surrounds. The only negative thing that I would say about it is its size. The problem I was having was that each component had only one optical input/output. I read a lot of bad reviews about optical splitters so I decide to purchase the Nyrius SW100 based on the positive reviews and its compatibility to my system setup needs. This is a big sucker. So make sure you hide it some place where you have easy access to.
Forget that. I have a 46 lcd tv hooked up to a cable hd top box, blu ray player, and HTIB system. The Nyrius arrived quickly and hooking it up to my setup was extremely easy. So now I have my tv, bluray, and cable top box hooked up to the Nyrius and it works beautifully.
